Instructions:
- Prepare the Bottom Layer:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of white sugar, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
- Add 1 ½ cups of milk, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and ¼ cup of melted butter. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Create the Top Layer:
- In another bowl, mix 1 cup of softened butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon until crumbly.
- Assemble and Bake:
- Sprinkle the top layer evenly over the batter in the pan, creating a cinnamon-sugar layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Glaze it Up:
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the glaze by whisking together 2 cups of confectioners’ sugar, 5 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the slightly cooled cake, allowing it to seep into the cinnamon-sugar layer.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Allow the cake to cool for about 15 minutes before slicing.
