Ingredients:
For the Danish:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 (17.3-ounce) box puff pastry dough (2 sheets), thawed but refrigerated
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1 teaspoon orange or lemon zest (optional)
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
For the Glaze:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Cream Cheese Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together using a hand electric mixer or stand mixer until smooth, about 1 minute.
Prep Puff Pastry:
Lay one sheet of puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. It should already be divided into three separate vertical sections. Keep the middle section intact for the filling.
